Quality Control

By Greg Hickman

“It is easier to do a job right than to explain why you didn't.”
Martin Van Buren

Doing your best day in and day out is not always an easy proposition. As a matter of fact, maintaining a high level of performance on a daily basis is probably one of the toughest challenges you’ll ever face. But face it you must if you’re ever going to bring out your very best.

Regardless of whether you like it or not, everything you do every day paints a picture to the rest of the world about who you are and what you’re made of. That’s precisely why you need to you autograph every task you undertake with uncompromising stamp of excellence.

“One of the rarest things that a man ever does, is to do the best he can.”
Josh Billings

When you constantly strive to do your best — and then do even better, you create a positive charged momentum that’s hard to contain. By pushing yourself to your outer limits and beyond, constantly refining and redefining your commitment to doing your best, you’ll immeasurably enhance virtually every facet of your life.

There’s no doubt about it, quality counts — and counts big time. In a world filled with half hearted attempts and half baked effort, you’ll quickly stand out from the rest of the pack when you consistently strive to do your very best. Instead of over promising and under delivering like so many others regularly do, give people everything you’ve got — and more!

“Quality begins on the inside... and then works its way out.”
Bob Moawad

All of us have a burning desire to achieve, to succeed, to make our lives everything we’ve ever dreamed they could be. Yet many individuals throttle or thwart this internal craving to get out on the playing field and compete, preferring to play it safe.

Instead of making their lives the exciting, action packed adventures they deserve to be, these people haplessly go through the motions. Quality is shoved to the back burner, along with their hopes and dreams.

“The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.”
Vincent Lombardi

In order to get where you’ve always dreamed of going, you need to emphatically stamp your unwavering commitment to excellence on everything you say, think and do. Why in the world should you ever settle for a second rate lifestyle or a string of second place finishes when you can take home the grand prize? You shouldn’t, and you won’t the minute you make quality the name of your game.

The Bottom Line: You’ll start controlling the quality of your life when you begin practicing a little quality control daily.
